Vogue Williams at loggerheads with Spencer Matthews over decision to have fourth child
TV presenter and podcast star Vogue Williams has admitted she's struggling to decide whether to have a fourth child with her husband Spencer Matthews, who is keen to expand their brood
by Nikki Onafuye, Susan Knox, Christopher Sharp · The MirrorVogue Williams has candidly spoken about the differing views between herself and her other half, Spencer Matthews, regarding adding another little one to their family.
In a heart-to-heart, the Irish TV star, 39, confessed she had given herself until the end of summer to makeup her mind about baby number four, yet finds herself on the fence. She divulged: "I had a timer on myself thinking, 'I'll decide at the end of summer', and now it's the end of the summer and I still really just don't know."
Moreover, Vogue pointed out that while Spencer is all for having another child, she's weighing the practical side of things and isn't thrilled by the prospect of motherhood in her 40s, stating: "Spencer would straight away, but I think of the logistics, whereas he doesn't. I don't want to have a child when I'm 40, because I feel like I'm going to start getting tired. That's when I want to go into my granny era."
The model and TV host also reflected on the influence Dr Chris van Tulleken's book on ultra-processed foods has had on her and 36 year old Spencer, though she admits to giving into cravings for them from time to time.
Vogue conceded: "I definitely eat ultra-processed food because I love sweets but if you can try to avoid it as much as possible, it's the easiest way to stay healthy."
Vogue recently got candid with OK! about the secret to her and Spencer's blossoming relationship. She revealed that one simple tweak has seen them gel better than ever, explaining "Spenny and I are getting on extraordinarily well at the moment, because he started helping out around the house."
She recounted a humorous exchange where Spencer's self-praise might've jinxed their harmony: "Last night, he said, 'Look at how great we are! ' I was like, 'Don't say that! Brilliant, now we're going to fight! ' And then last night, we did argue after we'd been getting on really, really well! ".
As a mother of three, Vogue also shared insights into managing a hectic home life while carving out couple time. About their unique way to unwind together, she said: "We love having a sauna together... no, not like that! It's not sexy. It's very sweaty, and I don't like anyone touching me in the sauna," adding, "But it's 20 minutes of quiet. We'll go for a run or to the gym and then have a sauna together, and it's just really nice to spend an hour doing that."
Additionally, she touched on their efforts to keep romance alive: "We're trying to be better at going out for dinner, and we did last night because my mum was over. We've just had our first proper couple's holiday away - I got it for Spenny for his birthday, and we went away for a couple of nights to Italy on our own, to Amalfi, with no kids."
