Good Morning Britain halted the show today, with Ranvir Singh delivering breaking news about the economy

Good Morning Britain was halted on Tuesday, October 15 as Ranvir Singh shared some breaking news.

Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley were hosting the show today, before they crossed over to Ranvir who was delivering the news. Interrupting her own broadcast, Ranvir said: "Next we have some breaking news for you in the last few minutes. Official figures have been released which show that the country's job market is weakening.

"This is because the rate at which workers salary's are rising has slowed down to a growth rate of 4.9%. That's not the only unwelcome news. The amount of people working on UK payrolls has fallen, down 35,000, between July and August."

Susanna and Richard were hosting the show today, where they chatted to the likes of Keala Settle, where she chatted about her new musical Fly More Than You Fall. The show also features Robyn Rose-Li and Cavin Cornwall and follows the story of a woman whose life is turned upside down when her mother is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
