Al Pacino's wild love life from steamy on set affair to 'oldest dad on record'

Al Pacino, 84, has dated a string of beautiful women from the film business over the years. The veteran actor has four children from his relationships but is yet to walk down the aisle

Hollywood legend Al Pacino has never been married but he has dated many world-famous silver screen actresses.

The star's exes include Godfather co-star Diane Keaton, who described him as "charming" and "hilarious" and An Unmarried Woman actress Jill Clayburgh, who confessed to "loathing him" after they split. Director Lyndall Hobbs, meanwhile, described her ex as "quite tricky".

The star of Scent of a Woman and Scarface, Al is one of the oldest fathers in record, welcoming his fourth child at the age of 83. Despite being forever linked with The Godfather Trilogy the veteran actor has never been a godfather himself, telling the BBC: "I don't remember anyone asking me that."

We take a look at his significant others over the years...

Jill Clayburgh (1967-1972)

Al and Jill began dating in 1967 but the actor dumped her five years later after finding fame in The Godfather. "I went through it all," she told the Washington Post in 1978. "Self-loathing, loathing him, pain, anger, fear."

Jill married playwright David Rabe and had a son, Michael and a daughter, Lily. The star died in 2010 aged 66, following a 21-year battle with leukaemia.

Tuesday Weld (1972)

Al got together with Tuesday shortly after his break-up with Jill. They didn't last long but went on to co-star in 1982's Author! Author! together.

Marthe Keller (1977-1979)

Another actress, Marthe co-starred with Al in the 1977 film Bobby Deerfield and they were embroiled in many fights on set. Their fiery on set relationship sparked romance and they lasted for two years before calling it a day.

Diane Keaton (1974-1990)

Al's most famous ex-partner was four-time Oscar winner Diane, who he dated on and off for 16 years. "I was mad for him," she told People in 2017. "Charming, hilarious, a nonstop talker.

"There was an aspect of him that was like a lost orphan, like this kind of crazy idiot savant. And oh, gorgeous." Diane ended their relationship for good in 1990 after giving the star an ultimatum and he refused to commit for good.

Jan Tarrant (1988-1990)

Al had his first child with Jan, an actress who was Angelina Jolie's first drama coach. Julie Marie Pacino was born in 1989 but a year later the relationship was all over.

Lyndall Hobbs (1990-1995)

An Australian director and producer, Lyndall split up with Al after five years when he didn't want children. "Al was quite tricky, obviously, and there's a reason he’s never married," she wrote in her 2015 memoir A Girl From Oz. "I was strong and quite difficult in my own way too."

Penelope Ann Miller (1993-1994)

The veteran actor had a high-profile affair with Penelope behind Lyndall's back when the stars appeared in iconic film Carlito's Way. "It's not a secret and I'm not ashamed of it," she told People in 1993.

"Al is a very passionate person and he brought out a certain womanliness, a sexuality, a passion in me." The pair had tried and failed to keep their fling a secret on set.

Beverly D'Angelo (1997-2004)

Beverly was married to an Italian Duke when she met the flirtatious actor on a flight to New York City. "He was seated in front of me," the actress recalled in an Instagram video. "He said: 'Come up and sit beside me' and by the time the plane landed, it was on."

The star of National Lampoon's Vacation, the actress divorced her husband and went onto have twins through IVF with Al in 2001, Anton and Olivia.

Lucila Sola (2008-2018)

Argentine actress Lucila is the mum of Camila Morrone, who dated Leonardo DiCaprio for four years. Despite her parent's relationship not working out Camila remains close to Al, telling The Late Late Show in 2018 she asked him for acting advice.

"I don't even know what to do," said the Daisy Jones & The Six star. "I have a script, where do I star? How do I act? And he said: 'Come over, we'll have tea, we'll run the script'."

Meital Dohan (2018-2020)

The Israeli actress was 36 younger than the actor but that didn't stop them enjoying intimate dinners at celeb hotspots in Hollywood. "It's hard to be with a man so old, even Al Pacino," Meital rather brutally told Times of Israel in 2020. "The age gap is difficult, yes.

"I tried to deny it but now he is already an elderly man, to be honest. So even with all my love, it didn't last."

Noor Alfallah (2022-2024)

Film producer Noor, 30, welcomed son Roman with Al in June 2023 but the veteran star is single once more. "Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years and are co-parents to their son Roman," a spokesman said recently.
