Nothing is more important to Prince William and Princess Kate than their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six. This means that the three Wales children spend most of their time far away from the spotlight and that they are ensured as much normality and privacy as possible. to grow up safely and happily.

However, William and Kate have to balance this with both their own royal duties as Prince and Princess of Wales, and their children getting to grips with their destiny. Prince George, as second-in-line to the throne, will likely one day be King, so Kate and William are forced to walk a tight balancing act between preparing him for his future role and allowing him a normal childhood.

Every so often, the royal youngsters join their parents at a high-profile event, and firm favourites amongst royal fans for their adorable personalities, they regularly steal the show when they make a public appearance.

Back in 2022, the Royal Family was out in full pomp and pageantry to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee - marking an incredible 70 years of her reign. This saw George, Charlotte, and Louis take part in a carriage ride for Trooping the Colour, and watch an RAF flypast from the balcony of Buckingham Palace along with the other senior royals. During their carriage ride, reports have claimed, George showed off his big brother credentials and seemed "protective" to his younger siblings - at the time he was aged only eight years old, with Charlotte seven, and Louis only four years old.

As reported in US Weekly, a source claimed that George is "very protective of his younger siblings," which has been demonstrated a few times on their rare public outings. Not only that, but the magazine reported that the source said the future King also "goes out of his way to help his mother with the household chores, especially when it earns him extra time on electronics!"

A body language expert - Judi James - also pointed out George's "protective" side to the Mirror when the Royal Family made their annual visit to church on Christmas Day in 2022, and Louis joined them for the first time. "One of the sweetest and most poignant body language signals was the sight of George using touch, chat, and bending rituals to signal he is now in the role of protector and 'keeping-an-eye-on' monitor for his younger brother Louis," the expert claimed.
