Kelsey Parker riddled with guilt since husband Tom’s death – as she unveils new romance

The mum-of-two is concerned her kids are 'missing out on moments with their dad' as they go through their childhood, as she confirms her relationship with her new boyfriend

The wife of boy-band Wanted's Tom Parker opened up about her remaining ''guilt'' following the passing of her late husband two years ago.

Kelsey Parker shared two kids with ''the love of her life'' Tom, who tragically passed away of brain cancer at 33. Kelsey said she feels guilty about her son and daughter living their lives without their dad.

The mum-of-two has recently gone public with her new partner, Will, a tree surgeon who she started a relationship with after she ''hit it off'' with him earlier this year.

Speaking on the Made By Mammas podcast, Kelsey detailed the difficulties of life as a widowed mum saying she spends a lot of time with, Aurelia and Bodhi. She said: "I really make time, because it is, for me, the spending them moments with my children, because I feel like they've missed out on certain things and I probably have that guilt.

"I think that's a stage of grief as well that you have the guilt with Bodhi playing football, sitting down with Aurelia playing with dolls, they've missed out on their dad and having moments with their dad."

Kelsey was on the podcast four years ago at a time when Tom was going through his treatment - but she aid she ''can't remember'' this period.

She said: "I can't remember anything, it was such an out of body experience. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, it's been so tough, but yet I've had the kids and they've got me through everything."

She said the death of her husband has impacted how she views the world adding "I've always been a positive person, but I think it's changed my perspective and view on life now.''

She said: "I'm a bit more like 'just go for it' because obviously Tom has taught me you've only got one life." The 33-year-old added that she is now ''in a better place'' mentally than when her husband first passed, and thinks her new partner was sent by Tom.

Kelsey said she has had to remove her wedding ring as seeing it was ''really painful'' and acted as a constant reminder of loosing her husband.

This weekend the mum went Instagram official with Will the tree surgeon who has been an incredible support, and taken up an increasingly large role in her and her family's life since they met earlier this year.

An insider said: “Will and Kelsey really hit if off earlier this year and he has been incredibly supportive of her. He helped her at a recent charity football match for Tom Parker and has attended other events with her. She hasn’t been shy about their romance and they pair looked very loved-up at a gala last week.”
