Everton could lose TWO forwards to Juventus as Italian giants seek double transfer raid

Juventus are said to be eyeing a double deal for two Everton forwards - with one move potentially set up for January and another for the summer

by · The Mirror

Italian giants Juventus are eyeing up Everton for a double transfer swoop according to reports in Italy.

New boss Thiago Motta has made a decent start to life in Turin since joining from Serie A rivals Bologna in the summer, with unbeaten Juve currently sitting third in the table with three wins and four draws from their seven matches.

They have conceded just one goal across those seven games to post the best defensive record in Europe's top five leagues, but Motta would like more firepower at the other end of the pitch, which has led him to cast his eye towards the striking ranks at Goodison Park.

The Toffees are 16th in the Premier League after a difficult start to the season amid off-field issues, but hope does appear to be around the corner after the takeover of the Friedkin Group was agreed.

The takeover process is still continuing though, and in the meantime Sean Dyche could see his forward ranks severely depleted if Juve get their way.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Old Lady are eyeing up a January move for the Everton forward Beto, who has scored just three goals in 30 Premier League appearances for Everton since his £25.8m move from Serie A side Udinese in the summer of 2023.

Despite his struggles on Merseyside Beto does still have a good reputation in Italy thanks to his 22 goals in 65 appearances for Udinese, and the report states that Motta sees the Lisbon-born Guinea-Bissau international as the perfect cover for Dusan Vlahovic.

Looking further ahead, a seperate report from Corriere dello Sport states that Juventus are interested in signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer at the end of season when his Goodison Park deal expires.

There has been no movement on a new deal for Calvert-Lewin, who is believed to be eyeing a fresh start at the end of the campaign, at which point he would have been an Everton player for nine years.

The 11 times capped England international has played 255 games for the Toffees, scoring 70 goals, with Lille's Jonathan David seen as another free transfer option for Juve in the summer.
