A mum posted about her daughter on social media just hours before she became the first person to die in the UK from a 'liquid BBL'.

The Mirror reported last night how 33-year-old beauty therapist Alice Webb, from Bristol, died after undergoing a dangerous Brazilian Butt Lift procedure. The treatment, which involves using injections to increase the size and volume of buttocks, was allegedly performed by an unqualified practitioner without medical training. Detectives investigating her sudden death have arrested two people on suspicion of manslaughter. Now, her tragic last Facebook post has emerged - showing a pre-BBL "present" from her daughter.

She had the procedure on Monday and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning

On Sunday evening Alice shared a photograph of a pumpkin bought for her by her daughter, and wrote: "How cute." The mum had the procedure a few hours later on Monday, and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning after being rushed to hospital at 11.35pm. Police said she had "become unwell following a suspected cosmetic procedure".

Unlike the surgical version of the operation, liquid BBLs involve injecting hyaluronic acid and dermal fillers into the buttocks. Similar procedures are listed online for £2,500 a time and can be performed in as little as 60 minutes. But campaigners have called for the procedure and risky breast augmentation treatments to be banned. Ashton Collins, director of the Save Face group, told BBC Breakfast in June: "Even in the safest surgical hands, these treatments carry a great deal of risk. Which is why a lot of medical professionals will not offer this treatment. We're seeing all sorts of things being carried out in people's homes, in hotel rooms, it's just awful what's going on at the moment."

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "Two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a woman in her 30s in Gloucester. Police had been called by the ambulance service at around 11.35pm on Monday (23 September) with a report a woman had become unwell following a suspected cosmetic procedure.

"She was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Her next of kin and the coroner are aware. The woman's family are being supported by specially trained officers. An investigation, led by the Major Crime Investigation Team, is ongoing. The two people who had been arrested have been released on police bail. We can also confirm the woman who died is 33-year-old Alice Webb."
