Usher has broken his silence and publicly addressed his Twitter being wiped.

The superstar singer, 45, raised eyebrows last week when his X, formerly Twitter, account was totally wiped days after his friend Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Diddy was arrested and taken into federal custody in New York on Monday evening. Prior to his arrest, Diddy had been seen hanging out in Central Park in Manhattan without a care in the world. Raids had been carried out following sexual lawsuits filed against him, firstly by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra 'Cassie' Ventura in November 2023. He faced federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, according to his indictment.

On Sunday, Usher - real name Usher Raymond IV - tried to explain what happened, insisting his account was “hacked” while also poking fun at the slew of headlines concerning his Twitter profile. He tweeted: “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! See you tonight at Intuit Dome.”

A number of big-name A-listers are said to be "scared to death" following P Diddy's arrest and subsequent jailing, raising suspicions around Usher’s apparent social media clean out.

Some of Diddy's contemporaries, including 50 Cent, Aubrey O'Day and Bad Boy star, Mary J Blige, have all spoken out against the multi-millionaire, with Mary accusing Diddy of "lying'" to her "all along" during his time as her manager in a interview with Rolling Stone.

However, others associated with the I'll Be Missing You Star are yet to comment on his criminal case following reports his 'Freak Off' videos, which allegedly featured sex performances that the hip hop mogul arranged, are being traded on the dark web.

Usher has previously commented on his “wild” days living with Diddy. Speaking to Howard Stern in 2016, Usher revealed that when he was 14-years-old, record executive L.A. Reid sent him to live with Diddy in NYC.

Of that time in his life, Usher told Stern: “I went there to see the lifestyle — and I saw it,” Usher said, who appeared to be carefully choosing his words. But I don’t know if I could indulge and understand what I was even looking at. It was pretty wild.” Usher also added: “There were very curious things taking place, and I didn’t necessarily understand it.”

Last week, Diddy’s indictment was obtained by the Mirror. The A-lister is alleged to have "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct."

It added that the musician "relied on employees, resources and influence of the multi-faceted business empire" which he "controlled" and "created a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labour, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice."

The indictment claims that the "abuse" was at times verbal, emotional, physical and sexual. It adds: "COMBS manipulated women to participate in highly orchestrated performances of sexual activity with male commercial sex workers."

It claims that Diddy's abuse was "widely known" and happened on "numerous occasions from at least in or about 2009 and continuing for years". The documents claim that he "assaulted women by, among other things, striking, punching, dragging, throwing objects at, and kicking them."
