EastEnders to air shock reunion for two Walford icons as discovery leads to 'chaos'
EastEnders viewers will see two iconic Walford residents share a reunion after decades apart, as a bombshell leaves one of them reeling on the BBC soap
by Charlotte Tutton · The MirrorEastEnders viewers are in for a treat next week, as new spoiler images confirm the reunion of two Walford legends.
Two icons collide amid an epic return, resulting in quite the bombshell. David Wicks makes his big return to the BBC soap next week amid his daughter Bianca Jackson's turmoil.
But what he isn't expecting and clearly hasn't been told about is the fact 'dead' Cindy Beale is very much alive and back in Walford. After more than 20 years away, Michelle Collins reprised her role last year with Cindy revealed to have been alive all along.
As far as her ex flame David was concerned, Cindy had died in prison back in the 90s. While all of Walford found out last year, it seems not everyone got the memo.
Next week David and Cindy come face-to-face with him discovering she had never died. He has loads of questions for her, understandably, as they speak for the first time in two decades.
But could his surprise return reignite the old spark between them? Ian Beale clearly fears this will be the case, as he rumbles the pair's meet-up.
With David back in Walford next week after leaving in 2014, 10 years on he's keen to help his daughter Bianca who is struggling with her mental health. With her not listening to pal Kat Slater who begs her to get help, David makes his way to Albert Square and realises she needs him now more than ever.
He's stopped in his tracks though when he and Cindy lay eyes each other after years apart. Pictures show them having a catch-up at the Beales' residence, detailing what has happened over the past 20 years.
Chaos is said to ensue though, as jealous Ian walks in and sees them together. It seems he assumes the worst, with Cindy looking guilty - but does he have anything to worry about?
Of course he has no idea she's already cheating on him with Junior Knight, the son of her ex-husband George Knight. As Ian spots the pair together, it's set to cause drama.
David actor Michael French recently revealed all on his big comeback. He said: "I feel honoured to be asked to reprise the role of David Wicks once again. It may only be a brief visit, but we know from his past that David never fails to create a lot of drama in a very short time."
