Halle Berry hits back at ex-husband's sex addict claims and fumes 'I don't believe that s***'

Halle Berry has hit back at her ex-husband's sex addict claims and fumed: "I don't believe that s***".

It seems the actress has slammed her former husband Eric Benét as she said she did not believe his claims of sex addiction. The 58-year-old did not name her ex-husband but it was reported in 2002 that Benét went to rehab to treat sex addiction.

Halle appeared on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast where she talked about her ex-husband and said she "doesn't 'f***ing believe" his self-proclaimed sex addiction. She said: "I had one husband who said he was a sex addict. But I don't f***ing believe that s***."

The pair were previously married in 2001 after being together for two years but they then split in 2003 and their divorce was finalised in 2005. Halle said they had been having issues and released a statement at the time.

It said: "Eric and I have had marital problems for some time now and have tried to work things out together. However, at this point, I feel we need time apart to revaluate our union. We ask that you respect our privacy as we are going through this emotional time."

It was rumoured that Benét had been unfaithful to Berry more than once because of his alleged sex addiction. However, he shut down sex addict claims himself in an interview with ABC News.

He said in 2004: "I am not a sex addict. I am a person who... through a series of emotional events, troubles, challenges, made some really, really stupid, painful mistakes." Halle's first marriage was to David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and her third marriage was to Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016.

Halle recently recalled turning down late music legend Prince after he asked her out via paper notes. The Catwoman actress attended one of the Purple Rain singer's concerts at the famous Key Club on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, and has claimed he tried to pursue her by having someone send her letters asking her out on a date. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live last month, she spilled: "He had somebody come out with a piece of paper. You know how kids do, 'Do you like me? Yes or no?' I went, 'Yes!' I mean, I'm at his concert, right?"

However, it wasn't meant to be as the pair never ended up going on a date. She explained: "Came back out again [with another piece of paper that said], 'Would you go out with me?'" But when she was asked if she responded, she said: "No. I didn't send the paper back."
