Clapham triple stabbing attack leaves one dead and two injured in night of violence

A stabbing in Clapham has left one dead and two injured, London Ambulance Service has confirmed

A triple stabbing incident in Clapham has left one dead and two in hospital after an early morning incident, emergency services have confirmed.

Paramedics were rushed to a scene in Wandsworth Road on the Clapham and Battersea border at 4am this morning (Sunday, September 29) following reports of an incident. One victim has since been confirmed dead by London Ambulance Service while another was rushed to hospital as a priority.

The incident has since led to the closure of Wandsworth Road between Queenstown Road and Lambourn Road while emergency services attend the incident. Traffic between Clapham Junction and Clapham Old Town has been affected, including three London bus route diversions.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 4:07am today (Sunday, September 29) to reports of a stabbing incident in Wandsworth Road. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.

"Our crews treated three people at the scene. Sadly, despite the best effort of emergency services, one person died at the scene. One person was conveyed to a major trauma centre and another was conveyed to hospital."
