Strictly's Claudia Winkleman enjoys rare night out with her handsome husband in matching outfits

Claudia Winkleman enjoyed a rare night out with her handsome hubby Kris Thykier as they donned matching outfits.

The couple partied alongside Ellie Goulding, Sienna Miller, and Lily Allen at the star-studded bash on Thursday to celebrate celeb hot-spot Chiltern Firehouse's 10th anniversary. The 52-year-old presenter, who co-hosts Strictly Come Dancing with Tess Daly, looked incredible in a black velvet blazer and white shirt, teamed with skintight black trousers and knee-high boots. She finished off her chic outfit with a white masquerade ball eyemask, which she sweetly matched with her husband, who donned a black one.

Film producer Kris, 52, was dapper in a black tuxedo and bowtie, and smiled as he accompanied his wife of 24 years into the exclusive event. It’s not known when Claudia and Kris began dating, but they tied the knot in June 2000 at a ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall, London, and went on to welcome three children - Jake, 20, Matilda, 17, and Arthur, 12. The intimate nuptials were attended by their closest friends and family, and Claudia has never shared any pictures of the big day.

The Traitors host keeps her family life away from the spotlight, and is rarely seen with her husband, or her children, at red carpet events. Kris is a producer and executive, and has worked on movies such as 2007’s Stardust, offbeat superhero comedy Kick-Ass starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, The Debt with Helen Mirren, and the Anna Faris romantic comedy I Give It a Year. He’s also been involved in TV shows such as Sky Atlantic's thriller Riviera, which ran from 2017 to 2020 and starred Julia Stiles.

Kris has also received two prestigious BAFTA nominations - one in 2018 for Best Mini Series for The State, and the other for Trash in 2015, which was nominated for Best Film Not in the English Language. Claudia has previously spoken about her husband in interviews, but has never shared pictures of him - or her kids - on social media. After the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 and 2021, the TV host joked she didn’t know “why or how” she and her husband were still together.

“Kris is very Danish in his ways. So, it’s not up to me to make dinner, it’s not up to me to make lunch and it’s not up to him to take the kids outside to play catch. In 20 years of marriage he has not once asked me what’s for dinner, it’s always ‘what shall we have for dinner?’ I married a feminist,” she quipped to Red magazine. “We don't have rules, but we look after each other more. So, whoever comes home first normally makes the dinner. It's just about being nice to each other.”

During an appearance on The Wheel in 2021, Claudia revealed she hated her wedding dress when she discovered a contestant on the BBC show was going to use any prize money to purchase her dress. “I am going to buy you a wedding dress because I don't think that's the right answer. Mine was disgusting so I won't lend it to you, but that's what we're going to do,” she said when she got the question wrong.
