Boots beauty advent calendar worth 'over £150' is now £44 and stars Ted Baker, No7 and more

Boots has slashed the price of the Macmillan 24 Days of Joy Advent Calendar, which is packed with £150 worth of beauty and skincare products, but you'll need to be quick if you want to snap it up

Health and beauty retailer Boots has brought back one of its most popular Star Gift offers to give shoppers a second chance to snap up the money-saving offer. The deal means shoppers can get more than £100 worth of popular beauty and wellness products for ‘free’.

Usually, Boots Star Gifts are limited-time deals that run for one week only before returning to full price. However, the high street favourite has slashed their Boots Macmillan 24 Doors of Joy Advent Calendar to better than half price for the second time this year.

The calendar, usually £90, has been reduced to £44, saving customers 51% off the price. But after some digging, we’ve worked out that the value of the calendar’s contents is actually much higher and is likely to be over the £150 mark.

The festive haul contains 24 beauty and skincare products and accessories from various much-loved brands, including Liz Earle, Ted Baker, Soap and Glory, and No7. There’s everything from creams and serums to body mists and handy beauty tools, making it perfect for anyone who enjoys a pamper.

I’ve taken a look at the contents to see how much everything would usually cost, and was able to find individual prices for everything bar the Boots Glow Hydrogel lip mask 2.5 g and mini Champneys glass nail file. The total, excluding these two products, racked up to £146.74, so with the additional items, it’s estimated that the whole haul is worth over £150.

Some of the most expensive items in the box include the No7 Skin Illuminator 30ml, which is usually £13.95, alongside the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Night Cream and Day Cream, which together are worth £24.95. But don’t underestimate some of the more affordable finds, because our beauty writer Bethan loves the smell of the Ted Baker Rose & Orchid Body Spray, usually £4, as well as the £3.99 Soap & Glory BRIGHT + BEAUTIFUL Biodegradable Brightening Sheet Mask.

At the new, lower price, each item in the box works out at £1.84 per item, which makes this a great way to bulk-buy stocking fillers on a budget. However, there’s always a chance with edits like this that not every item will hit the mark, so be sure to check the list of everything inside the calendar to make sure it’s for you:

Few beauty calendars can rival the price, with the only ones we’ve seen cheaper being the Profusion and 17 Cosmetics calendars , both of which are currently on offer for £20 and £24, respectively. Ted Baker’s calendar is now £36.80, while Soap and Glory’s is £38.48.

And until Saturday, November 2, shoppers can use the code ADVENTSAVE25 to get 25% off the No7 25 Day Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar. Worth £236.65, it’s usually £60, but the discount will take it to £45.

Away from Boots, there are a couple of other calendars we’ve seen take price cuts. One is Revolution, whose calendar is worth £97, but has been reduced to £36. Elsewhere, the 12 Days of Kitsch Advent Calendar is 30% off with the code PRIMETIME.
