It has now been five days since missing mum Victoria Taylor was last seen on CCTV footage from a local BP garage.

The 34-year-old was at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, on Monday morning before being captured on film two hours later buying a soft drink, dressed in an Adidas puffa jacket and a camouflage print cap. She has made no contact with her worried family or friends, which has seen police launch a huge operation to find her.

On Thursday, police divers continued to scour the River Derwent in kayaks after it emerged that some of Victoria's belongings were found close to the river bank. North Yorkshire Police say a range of enquiries are ongoing to try and locate Victoria, with the focus of activity being in the Malton/Norton area.

"We are very concerned about Victoria's whereabouts and, like her family and friends, just want to see her safe and well," Inspector Martin Dennison from North Yorkshire Police said. Locals and relatives have since spoken out about the 'popular' mum-of-one, who is described as being white and approximately 5ft six inches tall.

The mum, who works as a carer, has a fiancé named Matthew Williams. Victoria recently posted a photo of the pair together in a lift. It is thought to be the last image taken by the mum before she went missing.

Mr Williams updated his profile picture on Facebook to display the selfie, which shows him standing behind the 34-year-old bride-to-be. Victoria is captured holding the phone up and smiling as Mr Williams holds her by the waist.

On Friday morning, Matthew confirmed he was due to marry Victoria but were yet to set a date, following their return from their first family holiday in Majorca. Clutching their daughter, two, on the family's doorstep, a distraught Mr Williams said: "I hope she comes back safely."

The emotional father, looking at his daughter, said: "Obviously, this one is missing her mam. We are all hoping she comes back. She was dedicated to her job, dedicated to us, and we had just returned from a lovely holiday. It is just sad."

He added: "As soon as we reported her missing, knowing her very well we went looking around the area where the police had been. Since then, with the weather and everything, I just want to be here for this one. We had just go back from holiday.

"I am just heartbroken for this one. I know Vikki wanted this one to have the best opportunities in life - the opportunities she never had. It breaks my heart." But cuddling his daughter, he told MailOnline: "We live in hope, don't we kid. She was such a good mother to this kid and I hope she can be a good mother again."

Meanwhile, Victoria's heartbroken sisters urged her to contact them as police divers continued searching the river. Devastated sisters Emma Worden and Heidi Baker fought back tears as they made a desperate plea for her to come home.

"Vicky, just come home. We just want her home. She's got a little baby and her partner. We're just so worried," Emma said. Heidi added: "She's a very popular person. Obviously, she's a nurse and looked after so many people's parents around here."

Locals shared their sadness on social media after finding out that Victoria, who is originally from Huddersfield, was missing. One wrote: "Victoria worked at the care home where my Mum spent her final years. She was a real professional and I always felt my Mum (who was suffering from dementia) was 100% safe when Victoria was on shift.

"She is a truly lovely person and I pray she is found safe and well soon. My thoughts are with her family." Another added: "Prayers for Victoria, hope she is safe first of all and soon home to her daughter and those who love her."

Victoria's last known sighting was at a Marks & Spencer store inside a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of the town. She was captured at 11.35am on the day of her disappearance - two hours after she was last seen in person, and reportedly bought a soft drink.

Officers earlier said she was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black Adidas puffa jacket, which can be seen in the image. Victoria is believed to have also been spotted in Commercial Street, Norton, heading towards the library.
