Michael Mosley's wife, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, emotionally opened up about what life has been like since her husband's death.

The father-of-four died aged 67 after going missing on the Greek island of Symi in June. In soaring temperatures, Michael had set off on foot from a beach heading for the accommodation in which he and his wife were staying. Clare raised the alarm hours later, but it was four days before his body was found in a rocky area after an extensive search.

Heartbreaking footage appeared to show the moment he collapsed due to the heat as he slowly walked down a hillside. His wife said at the time, he seemed to have embarked on an “incredible climb, took the wrong route, and collapsed where he couldn’t easily be seen.”

Greek authorities concluded Michael died of natural causes, but an inquest will take place next month in Buckinghamshire, where he lived.

Before the emotional segment on Monday's The One Show, Alex Jones told viewers: "But first tonight, we are remembering the work of Dr Michael Moseley, and I have been speaking to the person who knew him best.

"Dr Michael Moseley was well known and loved as a broadcaster who suggested we could do perhaps just one thing to improve our health and our lives. It was such a shock to all of us when he tragically died when on holiday in Greece with his wife last summer, having suffered from what was most likely heat exhaustion.

"Today, his wife, Clare, has invited me here to their home to talk about all the brilliant work that Michael did, which will be captured in a final program to celebrate his life."

As Alex sat down with Clare, she began by asking her: "How are you doing? How are the children doing? You must still be processing what's happened to Michael."

Tonight, viewers will also be able to watch Michael in a BBC series which he was working on at the time of his death.

The two completed half-hour episodes continue the theme of Michael's Radio 4 podcast, Just One Thing. In the opening titles, Michael is seen playing golf, dancing, gardening, and taking a dip in a freezing tub. At one point, he and Clare sit and draw sketches of each other, giggling at the unrecognisable results.

Speaking about the episodes, narrator Sara Cox shared: “Michael changed many of our lives. Through his incredible work, Michael left us with tons of inspiration.” Each episode features participants taking on a health challenge inspired by Michael’s advice.

"Through their experiences, we see how manageable lifestyle adjustments can make a significant difference to well-being."

The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and Michael Mosley – Just One Thing airs at 8.30pm October 14 and 21 on BBC One at 8.30pm and BBC iPlayer. In addition, all episodes of his podcast will be repeated on Radio 4 from October 27
