Coldplay fans have expressed their frustration over presale tickets this morning with many reporting that the process was "littered with problems".

Presale tickets for their eight-show stadium tour went on sale this morning at 9am and thousands flocked to try and get one. Thousands were successful in their goal today, however many others sadly weren't so lucky with many reporting facing issues when they tried. Some fans reported that presale codes were not working, while others reported only being allowed to purchase one ticket, others were also reporting that tickets were already being put on resale site Viagogo.

One X user said: "Been trying to access the Coldplay pre-sale for 45 minutes and it says that I am not invited. I'm logged in with the same email address that my pre-sale code was sent to. I guess it's probably too late now as the tickets will be gone."

Another shared: "@coldplay on Ticketmaster the unlock ticket to put the code doesn’t work" A third added: "@coldplay this presale is rubbish…. Registered and paid for the album, code, all Ticketmaster and that email the same but nope apparently my email isn’t linked…… can’t even get past the sign in and nothing @TicketmasterUK you really are useless!!! #shattereddream."

Another reported that the site "crashed" when they finally had tickets in their basket. They said: "#Ticketmaster #Coldplay got in and had tickets. The system crashed and I’m now back in the queue. Absolutely dreadful as I see so many people reselling tickets already!! littered with problems all this."

A second fan echoed this saying: "Another Ticketmaster sh*tshow with presale and not being able to cope with demand. Have tickets in the basket to buy and then there’s an issue then they kick you to the back of the queue. Dunno why bands use you to sell tickets. Literally the worst site going."

One of the most common issues reported by fans was the sheer number of people in the queue for presale - plus how long it was taking. In one post on X - formerly Twitter - one Coldplay fan posted that they were behind over 125,000 people. One X user said: "@TicketmasterUK How can a presale be a presale when you join the queue the instant you can and you are 138,640 in line? Wembley Capacity 90,000, say 4 tickets per purchase, anything over say 25,000 in the queue and it’s a wasted day. #Coldplay2025 @coldplay #ticketingneedsreform"

Another added: "Did anyone actually get tickets for Hull? I joined the queue at 8:45 because the Ticketmaster site didn't refresh and there were 45,000 people in front of me Seen the update that there are no tickets left #Coldplay." A third said: "This is the slowest presale queue I've ever been in. By the time I get there, I doubt there'll be any tickets left! #coldplay"

Overall, fans said the experience was a "shambles" and criticised Ticketmaster over its "monopoly" of the industry. One person said: "I’d already accepted that the presale would be shambolic and sure enough Ticketmaster didn’t let me down! Why do bands let these clowns handle their ticket sales?? Sh*te ticket selection at extortionate prices, no thanks!"

In response, another X user said: "They have no choice as Ticketmaster has effectively got the monopoly on ticket sales for the vast amount of venues." A third shared: "Been to two previous Coldplay concerts, none were as chaotic to get tickets for as this one. Absolute shambles yet again from @TicketmasterUK, scammers already selling tickets 5x price meanwhile I’m still 122k in the queue. Joke #coldplayconcert".

A fourth shared: "@TicketmasterUK presale for Coldplay is an absolute shambles… 100,000k people ahead of me in a pre-sale queue. Has moved around 10,000 people in 30 minutes. You need to sort it out."
