Tyson Fury compared to Vladimir Putin ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch

Both Fury and Usyk are expected to go head-to-head once again later this year and the war of words between the two teams has only just begun

Oleksandr Usyk's manager has sensationally compared Tyson Fury to Vladimir Putin following the Brit's recent comments on social media.

Back in May, Usyk became the first man ever to beat 'The Gyspy King' in a professional bout after he scored a split-decision victory in Riyadh. Following the win, the 37-year-old became the first fighter to be crowned the undisputed king of the heavyweight division since Lennox Lewis back in 1999.

The pair are scheduled to go head-to-head for a second time in December in what promises to be an epic night of boxing. Both Fury and Usyk were ringside for Anthony Joshua's defeat to Daniel Dubois. Immediately after the main event, footage emerged of 'The Gypsy King' praising Usyk for his "boxing lesson'' to both Joshua and Dubois. While Tyson seemed rather civil and well-mannered during his exchange with his heavyweight rival, it seems as if the 36-year-old is now ramping up the trash talk ahead of the sequel.

In a post to Instagram, Fury uploaded a picture of Usyk landing a punch during their first encounter back in May. The Brit captioned to photo: "You had your shot but couldn’t finish the job! Mistake! Now your about to feel the wrath of A menace! F**k @usykaa f*** @klimasmanagement f**k @alex.krassyuk & if your down with Usyk then f**k you 2! Gypsy king 2024 coming for you! Dec 21 is mine. Me against the world. Incoming 3x heavyweight champ!"

While many would be drawn into a war of words, Usyk was quick to respond to Fury. However, rather than trading barbs, the Ukrainian was very respectful and saw the amusing side in his message. In a story posted on his official Instagram page, the 37-year-old responded: "You're really cool, my friend."

After Fury called out Usyk and his management team, the champion's manager Egis Klimas refused to sit back and ignore the Brit's comments on social media. In a recent post to X - formerly known as Twitter - the Ukrainian's manager hit back at 'The Gypsy King's' latest tirade on social media, saying: "Sounds like Putin, if you are not with me f**k you, and it means you against me. You pal, f**k you back!!!"

With just two months to go until the mouthwatering rematch, Fury has revealed he is yet to begin his training camp and claimed he only needed a few weeks of preparation for the contest. When recently asked how training for the second showdown was going, he replied: "I haven't started training yet. I won't go into camp for a good while. I think I've got 13 weeks today until my fight. So, I'll probably start training in about six weeks for it. I do about six/seven weeks training for these fights usually and I'll be ready to rock and roll on the night. Roll on December 21, come on!"

'The Gypsy King' was then asked how he plans to get his revenge later this year as he bids to avoid suffering back-to-back defeats to his rival. "It's very simple. I've just got to knock a motherf****r out,'' he said. "I've made no secret of it by, I think I out-boxed him last time and I'm sure I got the decision, but I'm not going in there for a decision this time. I remember I boxed really well in Wilder 1, and I didn't get the decision. I did the same the other night when I boxed three or four months ago. In the Wilder 2, I went to knock a motherf****r out, and we all know what happened. In Usyk 2, I'm going to knock a motherf****r out!"
