'I've worn the same £27 Clarins perfume for decades and still get compliments from friends'

Shoppers are raving over a 'delightfully fresh' fragrance that loyal customers have been coming back to for decades. C larins' Eau Dynamisante Fragrance starts at £27 for a 50ml bottle making it a lot cheaper than other designer scents.

The Clarins perfume was first launched in 1987 and is classed as a Chypre fragrance. Jacques Courtin-Clarins, the founder of the brand, is the nose behind the scent.

It opens up with Amalfi Lemon, Coriander, Caraway, Orange and Petitgrain while its heart is much more herbal with Rosemary, Carnation, Cardamom and Thyme. Its got a single base note of Patchouli.

Over on Boots it's brought in an average of 4.4 out of 5 from across 341 reviews with 87% of reviewers surveyed saying that they would recommend this product. One said: "Love this fragrance have used for years. Please don’t change it as to me it epitomises the Clarins Brand."

A second wrote: "Most fabulous and delightfully fresh fragrance, my favourite since I first bought it in the 1980’s. I feel like I have stepped out the shower when I splash this on my skin and people always comment on how lovely I smell. It is invigorating and beautiful to wear on any occasion."

A third penned: "I have used Eau Dynamisante for decades. I love the way it makes me feel and the lovely scent that stays with me all day. I always get compliments from friends."

A fourth added: "I was a bit unsure of this scent when I first got it and smelled it, but now it's one of my favourite scents! My usual preference is floral or fruity floral, so this was quite the change. Eau Dynamisante adds just the right amount of spice without smelling smoky, which I realize is what I do not like when it comes to deeper scents. This is also a great layering perfume, I started wearing it with YSL Mon Paris which is a very sweet floral, and now I love it on its own.

"The price is also really good for the amount, and I find it lasts a decent while on my skin. I can smell it on myself for 4-5 hours, then after it is a skin scent which I don't mind. I would classify this as unisex, it would be great on men or women, radiating the perfect amount of sophistication and intrigue."

The main complaint it's brought in is that some people have struggled with the pump after using it for a short time. One said: "This is a favourite of mine and I have worn it for many years, but like other reviewers, the pump has stopped working and this is the second time this had happened on my last two bottles. Come on Clarins, something needs to change please!"
