Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans reveals biggest struggle on show after viewer backlash
by Jasmine Allday · Manchester Evening NewsWynne Evans has confessed his biggest worry for this week's Strictly Come Dancing performance.
The Go Compare star faced significant viewer backlash after an 'inside joke' with Katya Jones went awry, leading to accusations of making his professional dance partner uncomfortable - a claim she denied.
Several weeks later, the duo are now focused on their rehearsals for next week's performance, where they will be dancing a Rumba to Dame Shirley Bassey's 'This is My Life' as part of the show's new Icons week.
During a segment on It Takes Two, Wynne expressed his concerns about the upcoming dance: "Rumba I'm enjoying but I don't know if I'm doing it right. I've got concerns about the hips. The hips, the hips, the hips."

Katya added her thoughts, saying: "The hips are getting looser. Wynne's got beautifully shaped long legs so if we can put the legs with the hips, it'll be perfection. Can we get there by Saturday, who knows? ".
Previously, Wynne admitted his anxiety over performing the rumba routine. In an Instagram Q&A, when asked about his next dance, he said: "I don't know. I don't look at what's coming up. I just have to focus on getting through this week. I'm now the oldest and the fattest, so the fact I've made it this far is incredible.
"So just focus on this week and getting through this week and then we'll see if I'm there next week. There's a lot of hips in the rumba, I may have actually discovered where my hips are."

At the time, Wynne expressed his devastation over the public's reaction to their humour.
"I'm absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last day. It's not nice to live in that time, but basically Katya and I are really, really close and we're really good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid joke," he remarked.
"It was a stupid joke that went wrong, okay? We thought it was funny. It wasn't funny. It has been totally misinterpreted. Everything's on Katya's socials. She's talked about it. She's explained that it was a joke."
He continued: "She wasn't offended in the least. She doesn't feel uncomfortable. We've got a brilliant friendship, an absolutely tight friendship, and I'm sorry if anybody was offended by it, but it was a joke. And that's all there is. There is no real story, really. I feel weird apologising because I feel like I've not really done anything."
