Vito Coppola has left Strictly Come Dancing viewers with questions as they complained about his and Sarah Hadland's scores this week. The duo were back in the ballroom on Saturday night (October 19) for their latest performance.

Week five of the BBC One dance contest got underway on Saturday night (October 19) with the 12 remaining couples hoping to impress and avoid the next dreaded dance-off and make it safely through to this year's Halloween special next weekend.

JLS star JB Gill and Amy Dowden opened the latest live show, their first time in the opening slot, and were given 30 points for their jive routine to Outkast’s Hey Ya! while comedian Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell’s waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers saw them receive 35 points, their highest scores so far.

Elsewhere, Morning Live doctor Punam Krishan and Strictly professional Gorka Marquez look like they could be in trouble after being awarded 21 points for an emotional and romantic Viennese waltz routine to She’s Always A Woman To Me by US singer Billy Joel. But the leaderboard was topped by EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and Olympian Montell Douglas with both on 39 points.

But Vito and Sarah once again faced a bit of a struggle in the eyes of the judges as they wore a matching colourful pink and yellow outfits for their Samba to Do It Do It Again by Rafaella Carrà.

Whil Sarah was called a "force" by Motsi Mabuse and head judge Shirley Ballas hailed her as "an absolute charm to watc", some felt the actress and dance partner Vito weren't fairly rewarded for their efforts despite a very respectable 32 points out of a possible 40.

Rushing to defend Sarah online, @isabellaascott said: "Feel like she’s undermarked atm this was honestly amazing so much energy so much content." @pennymorris09 commented: "BEST DANCE OF THE BLOODY NIGHT IN MY OPINION. BUT WHY IS SHE GETTING UNDERMARKED THO."

@lisaaboo_ posted: "U N D E R M A R K E D. The choreography was some of the toughest to master of the night and they nailed it. The theming was so joyous and how can we not love their partnership. Get all of my votes." @laurenjade158 shared: "@vitocoppola @hadderstime you were amazing !! Very under marked !! every week you dance amazingly and then get scored incorrectly !! This week was unbelievable you should be very proud of yourself I couldn’t believe the scoring !! Shocking !! The judges always have favorites every year!!"

@angelobruno8172 added: "If two certain contestants had done this dance, they wouldn't have been criticized so much and would have gotten a 9. They're always harsher on her. But anyway, for me she was one of the best of the night along with Chris and Montell."

Meanwhile, others were stunned by Vito's choreoraphy. @scddevereaux said: "Another year of Vito making me question the laws of physics #strictly." @TurtleBoi_11037 replied: "NO CAUSE HOW." @rp_tripathi added: "Vito defies gravity every time! Amazing! #Strictly."
