Vito Coppola has made a vow to his fans as he spoke out after he and Sarah Hadland made it through to another week on Strictly Come Dancing.

It was an emotional weekend for actress Sarah as she performed to a song close to her heart. The Miranda star and her Italian dance partner danced a Foxtrot to Birds Of A Feather by Billie Eilish but ahead of their perforamnce, Sarah broke into tears as she spoke about the importance of the song to her.

"What does this song mean to you?" Italian dancer Vito asked, to which actress Sarah explained as she fought tears: "It's about my family, and it's about me and my little one.

"This song is special to us because we sing it together and we have a little picture of us both as birds that we made together... It would be really lovely to show how I feel in the dance." Vito added: "I promise you I will do my best in order to make sure the dance will resprsent your relationship."

They faced some tough critique from the judges before they were given a score of 27 out of a possible 40 from the judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

Then, during Sunday night's (October 13) results show, they were relieved to be told they had made it through to week five of the BBC One dance contest following the public vote.

Following the show, Vito shared a video of himself and Sarah to Instagram in which he said: "Hello guys. We want to say thank you so, so much for your votes, for keeping us in. It was such a special dance for us. A very special moment, very magical.." to which Sarah agreed.

They both hinted at being nervous about the result before Sarah said: "Thanks for keeping us in," as Vito continued: "We just want to say thank you so much, honestly, you cannot probably realise how much it means for us and how much we appreciate it. Our words never thank you enough. So we are very, very grateful and we will never take any of your support for granted.

"Not even one per cent," as Sarah interjected with her hands clasped in a praying position: "I was standing up there like, 'Please keep us in!' Thank you." Vito added: "We will work harder and even harder because that's just our way to show you how thankful and grateful we are," before they both finished the video by blowing a kiss to the camera.

Vito also typed alongside the video post: "THANK YOU SO MUCH. We Love you and we will work even harder to show you how much we appreciate your support. Trilly & Vito #alwayswithlove."

Their fans and followers were quick to respond with love and support, many sharing how they'd used their votes to keep them in and also spoke of how they found them to be 'undermarked' over the weekend and the judges unnecessarily 'tough' on them.
