Boxing Tonight: Schedule, TV & live stream, ring walk time for Ricky Hatton's son Campbell

by · Manchester Evening News

Boxing fans are in for a treat on Saturday evening as Jack Catterall finally steps toe-to-toe with Regis Prograis, with the winner expected to earn himself a world title shot.

The pair were meant to face each other in August, but the fight was pushed back after Catterall suffered an unspecified injury. The Chorley native, 31, has bounced back after his controversial defeat to Josh Taylor in 2022 with three wins on the bounce, the last of which coming against Taylor in their highly-anticipated rematch back in March.

Prograis, meanwhile, hasn't fought since losing to Devin Haney 10 months ago, and has a defeat to Taylor on his resume. Though being a former world champion, the American, 35, certainly still packs a punch, and won't be a pushover.

The undercard is pretty stacked too, with Campbell Hatton, son of boxing icon Ricky Hatton, in action against James Flint. Hatton Jr was beaten for the first time in his professional career when he faced Flint earlier this year, but strung together 14 consecutive wins prior to that.

Here, Manchester Evening News runs through everything you'll need to know ahead of tonight's action, including the fight schedule, TV and live stream details, and expected ring walk times.

What's been said?

Catterall has revealed that he's delighted that the fight is still on and is excited to become the first headliner at the Co-Op Live. "I'm delighted that a new date for my fight with Regis Prograis has been sorted so quickly," El Gato said.

"Big thanks to Matchroom, my team and Co-op Live for all of their hard work on this. To be the first boxer to headline at Co-op Live is going to be special and I'm really happy I'll still get that opportunity.

"It was gutting having to pull out of a fight for the first time in my 30-fight career but I need to be fit and healthy going into one of the most important contests of my life. Thanks for everyone's continues support and I'll see you all on October 26!"

Meanwhile, Prograis is determined to become a world champion once again. He said: "It’s one step closer to becoming a three-time champion. You know, that’s something I really, really want.

"It’s something that, for me, I have Muhammad Ali [tatted on my arm], that’s something he did. He became a three-time champion and that’s something that I really want. I know Jack wants to be a world champion also but for me, I did it twice already and I’m going to do it again."
