Forensic officers scour scene for evidence after mum dies in tragic house fire
by Ashlie Blakey · Manchester Evening NewsForensic officers are continuing to scour the scene of a house fire for evidence after a mum tragically died.
The blaze broke out at a home on Ramsden Farm, a cluster of million-pound homes off Roundthorn Road in Middleton, in the early hours of Sunday morning (November 10). Fire crews, police officers and paramedics descended on the scene.
Sadly, the woman - who was aged in her 30s - was found dead inside the house. The M.E.N. also understands there were a number of children in the house who escaped the blaze but the victim, understood to be a mum, could not be saved in time.

A joint investigation into the fire is underway between Greater Manchester Police and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS). Today (Tuesday), crime scene investigators are working at a property on Ramsden Farm.
Pictures taken earlier this morning showed at least one forensic van stationed on the scene. A fire service cordon also remained in place, with at least one fire engine on the scene.
Yesterday, local Middleton councillor Dylan Williams said: "Heartbreaking news from Ramsden Farm off Round Thorn Road, Alkrington, this morning. Following a large house fire which was attended by fire crews from all over north east Greater Manchester.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the deceased family and friends. 30s is truly no age at all.
"I have received a briefing from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, and a full joint investigation with Greater Manchester Police is now taking place into the incident. The exact cause leading up to the incident is not yet known."
