How cold it will get in Greater Manchester this weekend - full Met Office forecast

It's set to be a chilly few days in Greater Manchester over this weekend as temperatures drop to as low as 4C.

Largely dry and fine conditions are expected over the coming days but it will feel cold in our region, according to Met Office forecasters. A cold start to the day is expected today (Friday) as the mercury stays at 4C until around 9am.

Temperatures will slowly rise through the morning, but a high of around only 11C is expected this afternoon. Conditions are expected to be mainly dry and cloudy.

Overnight into Saturday temperatures will dip again with a maximum of 13C forecast during the afternoon. More cloudy conditions are predicted amid some sunny spells, with the possibility of some showers later in the day.

Sunday is set to be feel even chillier as the mercury climbs no higher than around 10C through the day. Sunny and cloudy intervals are expected.

Met Office forecasters predict that it will 'much milder' as we head into the new week. On the overall outlook for today for the North West, the forecaster said: "After a cold but bright start, most areas will have a fine day on Friday with variable cloud and sunny spells.

"There is the risk of isolated showers, particularly towards coastal areas, but many staying dry. Remaining chilly. Maximum temperature 12C."
