Horror as woman raped inside Tesco toilet cubicle

Detectives are calling for witnesses after a woman says she was raped inside a supermarket toilet. The alleged incident took place on October 1, somewhere between 1.37pm and 2.19pm, at the Tesco supermarket ladies' toilets on Bridge Road, Sheerness, Kent.

The victim claims she was followed into the loo by an eastern European man around 30 years of age, 5ft 3in tall, donning a blue tracksuit. Detective Inspector Samantha Stuart, of Kent Police, said: "From our initial inquiries and reviewing CCTV we know there were a number of people who entered the toilet area during this time, including one lady who assisted the victim.

"I’m really keen to talk to anyone who was in the supermarket at the time and who used the toilets between 1.37pm and 2.30pm."
