BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Jowita Przystal says 'we're saying goodbye in Pete Wicks update

Jowita Przystal has said she and Pete Wicks were saying 'goodbye' as they offered an update from a new week of Strictly Come Dancing training. The pair were seen making it through to week four of the BBC One dance contest over the weekend.

They guaranteed their place in the competition's next live show during Strictly's annual Movie Week special which took place on Saturday night (October 5).

Former The Only Way is Essex star Pete caught everyone off guard as he and Jowita performed the samba to the George Of The Jungle theme, scoring 26 out of a possible 40 points.

The TV star and podcast host left judge Craig Revel Horwood hiding behind his notebook when he opened the routine by dancing with his bum right in front of Craig's face while standing atop his side of the judging podium.

But there was an almost disaster when a piece of intricate footwork almost saw him send Jowita flying across the ballroom but managed to grip hold of her enough to keep her up on both feet.

Now, Pete is trying to make George of the Jungle a distant memory and Jowita seems on board. Taking to Instagram, the dancer shared a picture of herself and Pete ready for their appearance on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Monday night (October 7).

Pete kept it smart in an all-black ensemble while Jowita added a touch of autumnal colours to her look with a denim shirt tucked into a pair of brown mini shorts before finishing off with a pair of cream thigh-high boots.

Captioning the post, Jowita wrote: "Tonight we’re saying goodbye to George and Ursula and hello again to dance shoes." And while some are still very much thinking about Pete's loincloth-wearing alter-ego, others are excited for what's ahead.
