Hunt for man who fled after police descended on street
by Ashlie Blakey · Manchester Evening NewsPolice were pictured on a street in Gorton this morning after a male fled during an 'arrest attempt'.
Officers first descended on Gidlow Street yesterday (Thursday, October 31). Police attempted to arrest a male at a home but he 'made off' from the scene.
He has not yet been traced, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said. This morning (Friday), officers were pictured carrying out investigations on the scene.

Pictures showed at least three police vehicles on the scene earlier. Officers were spotted going in and out of a house, as residents in Gorton also reported seeing a helicopter hovering overhead.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Officers conducted an arrest attempt at an address on Gidlow Street in Gorton yesterday (Thursday 31 October).
"The male made off and remains outstanding. A scene remains in place whilst officers conduct their enquiries."
