Coronation Street's Betsy actress 'adores' co-stars after calling them her 'babies' in personal move

Coronation Street star Sydney Martin has shared her adoration for her co-stars after enjoying time away from the cobbles with them. The actress had already popped up in the ITV soap over the summer, simply referred to as Sabrina Adetiba's mate.

But it wasn't until later that it was confirmed she was Betsy Swain, the daughter of DS Lisa Swain, and has since made a dramatic start to her life running in Weatherfield circles.

Now, Sydney has been seen spending time with some of her new co-stars as she celebrated the birthday of Elle Mulvaney, famed for playing Amy Barlow, over the weekend.

The new soap star joined Cait Fitton and Liam McCheyne, who play Lauren Bolton and Dylan Wilson in the long-running show, for the special event which was also attended by the likes of Harriet Bibby (Summer Spellman) and Jack Carroll (Bobby Crawford).

Taking to Instagram, Sydney shared a smiling snap of herself and Cait with the pair looking gorgeous in their autumnal-inspired outfits. While they both rocked mini skirts and off-the-shoulder knits, Cait opted for a pair of barely-there heels while Sydney rocked a pair of chunky boots.

Sydney also posted a snap of herself and Liam, who looked smart in a black shirt and pair of dark denim jeans, with the pair also beaming for the camera. "my babies," she simply captioned the post before her on-screen mum Vicky Myers gushed: "Gorgeous".

Birthday girl Elle also responded, writing: "Oh this ateeee," while Rowan Cunliffe actor Emrhys Cooper posted a heart emoji in the comments section. Sydney's bestie and Hollyoaks actress Isabelle Smith also added: "Gorgeous."

Cait also shared similar snaps to her own Instagram page, with her and Sydney having a giggle as Liam seemingly snapped them both outside the 8 Manchester Chinese restaurant in Whitefield.

"The dream team," the actress captioned the post to which Sydney responded: "Oh I adore you both." She also called Liam and Cait her 'beauties' as Liam took to Instagram with his own photos from Elle's 22nd birthday celebrations.
