A sexual predator who abused a young girl with his partner has finally been locked up.

Neil King has been jailed after being convicted of 17 sexual offences against two young girls. The 51-year-old first started to abuse his first victim in 2008 with his then-girlfriend Louise Tye.

Tye is now dead, but the National Crime Agency say she forced the victim to participate in sexual activity with her and King. King paid Tye for her help with the abuse.

He went on to rape the girl at his home and in his car. During another occasion, he abused the girl and another together.

The first victim manage to escape King for a time before he tracked her down and raped her again. King came to the attention of the NCA when officers identified the first victim as a potential victim of child sexual abuse in late 2018.

Her account enabled officers to identify the second victim. Both King and Tye were arrested in 2021 and charged with sexual offences in July 2023.

Tye died later that year but King went on to be found guilty of seven counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, four counts of attempted rape, two counts of rape, one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and one count of sexual activity with a child.

King, of Dinnington, Rotherham, was jailed on Friday at Sheffield Crown Court.
