Chris McCausland has made a hilarious admission about his time on the show as he was also asked to addresses the claims he could win Strictly Come Dancing's 2024 series.

The comedian has become a firm favourite to lift the Glitterball trophy this year after being paired with Dianne Buswell in the BBC One dance contest.

Their latest appearance in the show's famous ballroom saw them dance a beautiful waltz which they to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, in a nod to Chris' beloved home city and football club, which left the judges having to compose themselves and viewers in tears

The judges then scored them 35 out of a possible 40 points, their highest score of the series so far, and they were later seen making it through to week six of the BBC One dance contest which will be the annual Halloween special.

It's already been confirmed that they'll perform a Samba to Stayin Alive’ by The Bee Gees during the spooktacular special this Saturday night (October 26) and Chris and Dianne have spent the week back hard at work in training.

But they still found time for some fun as they brought back their favourite game 'guess the flavour of the KitKat' with Chris getting his hands on a stash of the famous chocolate bar.

However, it was ahead of getting stuck into the game that Chris made an admission about his time on the show as they paid a visit to the studio of Strictly spin-off It Takes Two for their latest chat.

"What day is it Chris?" Dianne asked her celebrity dance partner to which he replied: "I don't know, Di. I've lost any concept of time. We are at the It Takes Two studios and I've just had my makeup done and it took her ages!"

He went on to say as Dianne laughed: "The longer I'm in this show, the longer my makeup sessions are becoming," before they moved onto their game, which fans once again loved.

@carmengorovoj_8 said: "Where is Chris getting all of these flavoured kit kats from?! I went to Japan earlier this year and couldn't find all the quirky flavours! Love watching your videos together." @duffydawn commented: "Love you together. Such a genuine friendship/partnership." @ruthhands wrote: "These videos get funnier every week. Love it!!" @janbeedle2 added: "You have brightened my evening once again."

Appearing on It Takes Two, host Janette Manrara praised Chris latest performance, asking: "What a beautiful, beautiful dance, how emotional did you think that dance would be for you?" Chris responded: "There's a lot of pressure in terms of wanting to do a good job. You don't want to do a rubbish job on a song that means so much to so many people, especially as it's so connected to where you're from.",

Janette later asked for his thoughts on the ongoing speculation that he could be the one to lift the Glitterball trophy, to which he responded: "I'm, surprised I'm here, to be honest. I didn't think I'd be able to do it. I'm surprising myself, that's what I'm saying. I'm surprising people out there, surprising myself. I'm probably surprising you (Dianne). I think we together are surprising ourselves."
