Hart is known after making her name as the single middle-aged woman who was never able to secure a husband on hit comedy Miranda, which aired between 2009 and 2015.

"I'm married, I got married at 51 and it's just so lovely. I'd written Gary for onscreen Miranda and it wasn't until I was 49 that I met my person," she gushed. "He's my best friend, we had the best fun and I'm just thrilled to be a young bride at 51."

It comes after she was seen wearing a wedding band in recent videos and pictures she posted on her Instagram - sparking speculation from fans.

The actress revealed over the summer that she has had been battling a chronic illness for three years. She first went public with her secret illness in August.

She will now reveal all about the debilitating illness in her new book I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You, which is out on Thursday (October 10) and hopes that by telling the story of her health struggles in her upcoming memoir it will help others going through tough times.

When first talking about her health over the summer as she revealed her new book, Miranda at first joked she had "lost all of the midlife weight that was lumped on in the last three years". She then whispered: "I haven’t," before pointing to the title of her book.

"But can I just say I’m actually really quite proud of the fact that I’ve dismantled quite a lot of shame about my weight gain, not that because I don’t think bigger is beautiful, but because it isn’t quite me and I feel really uncomfortable and it’s one of the things I talk about in there," she added before telling fans to make sure to pre-order it.
