Strictly Come Dancing fans have claimed they've spotted the 'winning moment' of the 2024 series as they branded another move as being 'criminal'.

It was week five in the ballroom on Saturday night (October 19) and the latest live edition of the BBC One dance contest saw the 12 remaining couples perform their hearts out for the judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke and public vote.

JLS star JB Gill and Amy Dowden opened the show for the first time, and were given 30 points for their jive routine to Outkast’s Hey Ya! but it was EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick and Olympian Montell Douglas who topped the leaderboard this week as they both finished on 39 points.

Speaking of Montell and her dance partner Johannes Radebe, were given the opportunity to close they show and they definitely ended on a high as they brought the party with a carnival-inspired couple’s choice routine.

Their performance, to Skeleton Move by KG and Zanda Zakuza, was dedicated to Gladiator star Montell's grandmother, who died last year as she expressed her wish to bring the love of her family to those watching.

Strictly viewers rushed to social media to comment on the routine and believe it could be what Montell needed to win the competition. @notthatpoppy tweeted: "A WINNING MOMENT #Strictly," alongside a clip of the routine.
