One of Strictly Come Dancing's most likeable stars has been dealt 'crushing news' just hours before they return to the ballroom with their next routine.

On Saturday night (October 26) those who made it through to week six of the BBC One dance contest will take to the dance floor once again, this time dressed in spooky attire as the Halloween festivites take over the ballroom.

Among the performances viewers will see this weekend will be comedian Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne Buswell who will perform a samba to Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees, while JLS singer JB Gill and Amy Dowden foxtrot to Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader.

Reality star Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal will perform a Viennese waltz to That’s Life by Frank Sinatra, with EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas dancing the American Smooth to The Addams Family theme song.

But according to the bookies, Dr Punam Krishan could be set for her final performance on this year's Strictly alongside her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez.

According to Ladbrokes, sespite being yet to feature in the bottom two this series, the bookies have dealt crushing news for Morning Live's Punam, who heads the betting to be sent packing during Sunday night's (October 27) results show.

Elsewhere, Sam Quek 7/2 is second-favourite, as things stand, to exit the competition this weekend, while Pete Wicks is the next name at risk at 4/1, ahead of Shayne Ward (5/1) and Montell Douglas (7/1).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "This week's elimination race is undoubtedly the closest we've seen all series, but punters seem to think it's Punam who'll miss out on a place in Week Six of Strictly."
