Boy, 13, injured after being attacked on Hyde Road

A teenage boy was assaulted in Gorton on Wednesday afternoon (October 2), with police called out to the scene.

The victim, aged 13, sustained an injury to his lip in the attack. Officers and paramedics attended the incident, near to the B&M bargains store.

No arrests have been made after the offender fled the scene, Greater Manchester Police said. Enquiries are ongoing.

Witnesses reported seeing police vehicles and ambulances parked along the main road, in Gorton, on Wednesday evening.

Police confirmed they were called to reports of the assault and found the victim had sustained a 'minor injury' to his face in the reported attack.
