Man charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed in 'domestic incident'
by James Holt · Manchester Evening NewsA man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in a 'domestic incident' at a house in Wigan in the early hours of Monday morning (October 28).
Police and paramedics were called to the incident at a house on Tintern Avenue, in Astley, at around 5.15am. Crime scene investigators (CSI) also attended the incident and taped off the home throughout Monday amid investigations.
The victim, a woman, whose age has not been confirmed, was taken to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. Her condition is not described as life-threatening.

A police van could also be seen parked up on the driveway, which was sealed off by police tape with forensics seen at the property. It is understood the alleged attack was a 'domestic and isolated incident'.
A man was also taken into custody after the incident to be questioned by detectives. Greater Manchester Police have since confirmed that suspect Abdullahi Tuani, 25, of Abbey Road in Tyldesley, has been charged with attempted murder.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Wigan Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (October 29).
