Married At First Sight UK bride forced to call medic on her wedding day

Married At First Sight's Sacha Jones had quite the ordeal on her wedding day.

The 29-year-old Birmingham reality star found herself battling the cold during her televised nuptials to Ross on MAFS UK, leading to concerns of hypothermia.

In a candid discussion with co-star Kieran, she revealed the struggle with freezing temperatures. "It was quite cold - our wedding day; they made it look warm. I had socks on under the table; that's how cold my feet were. I had to get the medic over; I thought I had hypothermia," Sacha explained.

She detailed the severity of the situation: "My toes went purple, it was that cold. Everybody was sat on hot water bottles. We were sat in a beautiful old chapel but it had no heating."

However, that wasn't the only challenge she faced. She quipped: "I knew they were gonna try to give me prosecco and I hate prosecco. I could sense it. I took three bottles of the sweet dessert wine in called Asti.

"They had to keep cutting the camera for the bottles to be replaced on the top table. Not enough to get drunk!"

To keep her participation in the show secret, Sacha told her friends she was going away on a yoga retreat.

"I was really good at keeping quiet. I told everyone I was on a yoga retreat. I needed an excuse to explain why I wasn't going to be on my phone. Everyone was completely shocked when the news came out," she told Birmingham Live.

"It was a very quick process. I applied right before the deadline, got a call the next day, and then it was bang, bang, bang - you're getting married. It was surreal, and I didn't have time to think."

She added: "But it was exciting to know I'd be ringing in the new year with my new husband."
