Two charged with attempted murder after teenager seriously injured in shooting

Two more people have been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was seriously injured in a reported shooting in Gorton.

Police were called to a firearms discharge on Hampden Crescent on the evening of October 7. A 19-year-old man was left with serious injuries.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.

Detectives have now charged Kavon Haselden-Hoyle, 26, of Beamish Close, Ardwick, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, with attempted murder, conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so.

They will both appear at Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday). Greater Manchester Police say they are continuing to investigate the incident and have urged anybody with information to come forward.
