Kate Middleton sends out special message of 'love, strength and hope' in 'important moment'

The Princess of Wales has posted a message in support of those affected by the “devastation of baby loss”.

The message comes after Catherine has started taking more of a public profile after undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer. She took to the Kensington Palace social media accounts to commemorate an "important week". Kensington Palace’s social media accounts usually mark the week each year.

Kate, in a personal message on Kensington Palace’s social media, wrote: “Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss.

“Sending love, strength and hope to anyone affected. #WaveofLight”.

The message was signed “C”.

It was accompanied by an image of a Plum & Ashby candle as part of the global Wave of Light at the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which runs from October 9 to 15.

Earlier this month, the Prince and Princess of Wales also met an aspiring photographer with a rare and aggressive form of cancer after inviting the teenager to take pictures at investitures at Windsor Castle.

Kate, in a rare appearance, was pictured hugging Liz Hatton, 16, from Harrogate, after the princess, who has completed her chemotherapy treatment following her own cancer diagnosis.
