Former Strictly Come Dancing star names couple with 'best chemistry' and it's not Pete and Jowita

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan has named the couple she thinks has the 'best chemistry'. It has been Pete Wicks and Jowita Pryzstal who have been flooded with comments about the sizzling vibe between the pair.

But when Ola, who starred in the dance show as a pro dancer from 2006 to 2015, was quizzed on the remaining couples in the BBC One dance contest this year, it wasn't podcast host Pete and dancer Jowita who she referred to.

"I really like Sarah [Hadland] and Vito [Coppola], I think she's a beautiful dancer and I think they have lovely chemistry. I love watching them every week," the 42-year-old said when teaming up with Mecca Bingo to share her thoughts ahead of the next live show on Saturday night (October 19).

"I also really like Chris [McCausland and Dianne [Buswell], and I think Dianne is doing such an amazing job with Chris. I think he's got a rhythm, and he's not as bad as people think he is. He's got a very good rhythm because his bottom half is much better than some of the other celebrities. But I think the chemistry, the relationship between them is very nice, I like that. I think they're two favourites."

But with who she thinks is standing out on the dancefloor also came the question as to who she thinks may struggle during week five of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series this weekend.

“I think Dr Punam [Krishan] and Paul [Merson] could be two of the weakest celebrities on Strictly," she said. "Paul is dancing to the Samba this weekend, which is tricky for anyone, let alone Paul. He's just going to have bent legs all over the place, like he has in previous dances.

"Punam’s going to have a lovely ballroom frame, and she's going to be just dancing around the dancefloor with Gorka, so she's got more of a chance to do better. She will have a better chance in the scoring as well. Even if she's in the bottom two against Paul, for example, she could probably do better than him – she's probably safe."

Ola continued: "Wynne [Evans] could be at risk this weekend too. It’s a tricky one because I would never think they would be in the bottom two, but, after the incident that's gone on this week, maybe he’s at risk this weekend. The public don't like to be messed about, if they think something is going on, they're just not going to like it, and they won’t vote for them."

Ola was referring to Wynne and Katya's 'inside joke' backfired during last weekend's live show and a clip of the moment Katya removed Wynne's hand from her waist went viral on social media as fans expressed concern for the professional dancer.

A second moment between the pair, as they stood in the 'Clauditorium' alongside their fellow stars, also showed Celebrity MasterChef winner Wynne appearing to attempt to give her two high-fives, only for her to turn around and leave him hanging while looking annoyed.

But Katya soon dismissed the suggestions she was made to feel "uncomfortable or offended" as "complete nonsense" after it was reported the pair were checked on by a welfare team, with it reported that no further action had been planned.

Ola added: "But they’re doing really well in the competition, and I don't want them to go out because I think they're a good couple and they're doing well. I really like the Tango they did last week, so it would be a shame if they are in the bottom two. But if they are in the bottom two, they will most likely be saved by the judges because they're quite good.

"If they find themselves in the bottom two with anyone who is not as good, for example, Paul, then they will be saved. But it would be a shame if they are in the bottom two because I think they're quite good."
