What Man City defeat to Bournemouth means for Premier League title race as prediction made

by · Manchester Evening News

Manchester City still have a strong chance of ending this season as champions - despite their 2-1 reverse to AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.

City were caught cold by their hosts inside the opening ten minutes as Antoine Semenyo swivelled and fired the ball home for the Cherries. Bournemouth continued their pressure in the second half and doubled that advantage when Evanilson stretched to prod the ball past Ederson.

Josko Gvardiol's header pulled champions City back into the match with less than ten minutes to go, to launch an onslaught from the Blues. Erling Haaland went close twice and Phil Foden fired a shot wide as Pep Guardiola's side tasted back-to-back defeats to end the week.

City are tipped to lose just one more match in the entirety of the Premier League campaign, with their other title rival Arsenal finishing eight points back. The Supercomputer uses current form, remaining fixtures and squad talent to generate a prediction on how the final league table will look.
