A man has been charged with causing the death of a young woman almost two years after a crash on the M6. Daniel Barlow, 29, from Rossendale, is to appear in court November 4.

Chloe Williams, 19, was killed in the crash on December 2 2022. Emergency services attended the incident on the northbound carriageway of the M6 between junctions 16 and 17.

The teenager, from Dudley, was a passenger in a car that collided with three other vehicles, police previously said. She was taken to hospital from the scene but later died.

After her death, her family remembered her as a 'beautiful girl' who 'was about to start her dream career'.

Barlow, of Burnley Road in Crawshawbooth, was arrested the same evening. He has since been issued with a postal requisition ordering him to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on November 4.

He has been summoned to court to answer charges of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and making a false statement to obtain a driving licence, Cheshire Police said.
