Air ambulance scrambled to incident in Rochdale with road blocked off
by James Holt · Manchester Evening NewsAn air ambulance was scrambled to an incident in Rochdale on Monday afternoon (November 4) with an area taped off by police.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to reports of the medical episode near to the Cutgate shopping centre, along Edenfield Road.
It is understood a man suffered a cardiac arrest. Witnesses said he was seen being given first aid and CPR at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

Pictures from the scene showed paramedics arriving at the scene nearby in an air ambulance, which landed beside homes near Martin Lane.

A road closure was put in place for a short time at around 2.30pm as emergency crews worked at the scene. The man was later taken to hospital from the scene.
Further details about the man's condition have not yet been confirmed. The North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for a statement.
