Co-op taped off by police after car smashes into wall
by Ashlie Blakey · Manchester Evening NewsA Co-op shop in Rochdale is taped off by police this morning after a car smashed into a wall of the building.
The car crashed into the wall of the store on Dale Street in Milnrow at around 9am today (Saturday). Pictures taken at the scene showed a car with a badly-damaged front inside the cordon at the shop's car park.
The wall has been left wrecked close to the cash machine. Bricks from the wall have been displaced with some left strewn across the ground.

At least one police car was pictured on the scene earlier. An ambulance vehicle was also pictured parked near the shop's front.

The Co-op is closed while enquiries are carried out by officers, the Manchester Evening News understands. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said a driver appeared to have 'lost control' of the car.
No further details on this have been released at this stage. No serious injuries are believe to have been reported.
