Emmerdale Amelia's real plan 'exposed' for Tom as comeuppance 'confirmed' for abuser

by · Manchester Evening News

Emmerdale fans are certain Amelia Spencer is planning something big for Tom King.

At the moment, Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is dating bad guy and abuser Tom King (James Chase). Fans will recall Tom abused his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) earlier this year - with Belle eventually leaving him.

However, Tom has since struck up a romance with Amelia who is 10 years younger than him. He has managed to lure Amelia in, who has vowed to defend Tom no matter what.

As well as trying to prove his innocence, Amelia has also been keeping her daughter Esther away from Sam (James Hooton) Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) Esther's grandparents.

However, it seems Tom’s reign of terror could be coming to an end - thanks to an unlikely villager. During Wednesday’s episode (October 8), Lydia decided to let her daughter spend time with Sam and Lydia.

At the Dingles, Luka tried to get Amelia to see Tom’s true colours; that he was merely using her to try and make Amelia see Tom was bad news and only using her to get at Belle.

Fans reckon Amelia could be 'playing' Tom

Lydia then told Amelia: “Until the mask slips and the real Tom comes out, and then you realise you've been part of his nasty games, and I worry that you and Esther will be in too deep by then."

Amelia was left fuming by Lydia’s comments, but then her expression changed to a look of realisation as she questioned whether Lydia could be right about Tom. Now, fans are certain that Amelia could be ‘playing’ Tom in a bid to take him down.

Writing on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person said: “I feel Amelia is on to Tom. Please give him what he deserves!” Someone else wrote: “Did a light pop on behind Amelia’s eyes just then?” A third penned: “Wishful thinking but I hope so, maybe now she will listen.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
