BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland's emotional admission as he sends Dianne Buswell sweet 'thank you'

Chris McCausland was left making an emotional admission as he was seen making it through to Strictly Come Dancing's next live show. He and dance partner Dianne Buswell impressed once again during their latest stint in the ballroom over the weekend.

The comedian, who is Strictly's first blind contestant, and Dianne Buswell received another standing ovation in the iconic ballroom on Saturday night (October 12) for their Salsa to Down Under by Men At Work.

Dianne, who got to bring a touch of her homeland Australia to her routine, gushed that she was never more proud of Chris as she fought back tears before they were awarded 30 points.

They were then seen during Sunday night's (October 13) reuslts show making it through to wek five of the competition where Chris was pleased to hear that he'll be doing a ballroom dance next weekend after two speedy Latin routines on the bounce.

Following the news they were through, Dianne took to social media with pictures of their pair in action and said: "Once again thank you @chrismccauslandcomedy for trusting me ! when I said we are going to do the kangaroo jump you didn’t even hesitate [crying laughing emoji].

"You're a legend and I’m so happy to be able to dance another week with you! To everybody who has been supporting us we thank you soooooo much. Week 5 I can not believe it. You're all BONZA."

And Chris was quick to respond with an admission and sweet thank you to his dance partner. He said: "I think we both felt quite emotional after that one didn't we. What a blast, and thank you for letting me hold onto you till I knew I wasn't going to cry. You are the absolute best! Slow one this week though eh."

Fans of the pair were quick to show their support. @robynhood said: "You guys are amazing, honestly I hope you know how much joy you’re bringing to us all watching. FAB-U-LOUS!!" @lenihenry commented: "You are incredible matey. The relationship between yourself and Diane is what this show is all about and is what pushes you to get the best out of it each week. You truly are amazing, besides one liners too. You two get my vote!"

@wasaaaat posted: "You're a man this world needs more of !!! Absolute diamond and your qualities are outstanding,,your the WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!" @colettebent added: "Love you amd Di, you are what this competition all about."
