A fight in the parking lot of a business near a Vernon elementary school last night sent a man to hospital with stab wounds.

Officers were called to a fight in the parking lot of a business in the 2800 block of 35 Avenue at around 9:40 p.m., Oct. 18, according to an RCMP media release.

Witnesses told police a man had been stabbed and had been taken to hospital. The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.

“The ensuing investigation led police to two separate units in the building which have both been secured until search warrants have been obtained and executed,” the RCMP said in the release.
