After Newcastle’s clash with City at St James’ Park, Chelsea will host Brighton at Stamford Bridge in the evening.
Arsenal will host Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium, while Liverpool will take on Wolves in an away Premier League tie tonight.
However, fans and pundits alike are talking about the potential for some shocking results this weekend as there are some fascinating matches to look forward to.
First up is Newcastle United vs Man City. Both teams failed to win their last Premier League games.
Newcastle lost 3-1 away at Fulham, while City played a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at Etihad Stadium. On paper, Pep Guardiola’s side are expected to beat The Magpies and get their fifth win of the campaign. With Eddie Howe’s side also looking to take all three points against the Cityzens, this could be a closely fought affair as Newcastle would hope to make use of their home advantage against the visitors.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will be looking for a straightforward win against Leicester City at home but they can ill-afford to underestimate their opponent. Leicester drew 1-1 their last game against Everton.
The visitors will hope to avoid a defeat this weekend when they face Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates Stadium and this could be a potential boost for them.
Chelsea will be looking to put in a strong performance against Brighton at Stamford Bridge. Enzo Maresca’s men won emphatically against Newcastle United in their last game, while Brighton played 2-2 with Nottingham Forest.
Chelsea are sure to be wary of the visitors, who have not lost a game so far this season. Brighton could claim a famous victory against the host on Saturday evening.
Finally, Liverpool will be hoping continue from their last 3-0 victory against Bournemouth when they face Wolves tonight.
However, with Wolves playing at home, this game could be a closer affair at the Molineux Stadium than many are expecting.
The hosts will try to avoid a back-to-back defeats having lost 3-1 against Aston Villa in their last game.
