Pedestrian hospitalised after crash on Union Street

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car in Plympton, Plymouth city centre yesterday evening, Thursday, October 24. Police were called to the scene along Union Street after a pedestrian and a car collided.

Ambulance crews were also called to the scene. The road was closed while emergency services attended.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be checked over following the crash. It is not thought his injuries are serious.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to Union Street, Plymouth at around 7.40pm on Thursday 24 October following reports a pedestrian had collided with a car. The ambulance service was called and the road closed.

"The man was taken to hospital to be checked over but his injuries are not believed to be serious."
