A wave of tributes have been left for people from Plymouth or those with links to the city who have died recently. The heartfelt messages appeared in the funeral notices section of PlymouthLive's sister title, The Herald.

The messages, placed between September 21 and September 27, provide comfort to the loved ones of those either lost or being celebrated. There were also three in memoriams, and one birthday memoriam.

Passed away at Derriford Hospital on 10th September 2024, aged 81 years. Beloved Mum, Gran and Great-Gran. She will be dearly missed. Yvonne Ann Dyer peacefully passed away at Derriford Hospital, with her family by her side, on 13th September 2024 Aged 89. Yvonne was a devoted Wife to Frederick (Deceased), a cherished Mum to Carol, Julie and Roger, Mother-in-law to Nigel and Lisa Nan, to Kelly, Carley, Lee and Shane and Great Nan to Amy, Ashton, Oscar, Eryn, Coral, Harry, River and Lily. She will be loved and missed by all who knew and loved her. Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean we'll miss you until we meet again. Maria Thompson sadly died on the 2nd of September 2024 aged 54. Beloved wife of John Ford and devoted mother of Daniel and Darcey.
