Plymouth cyclist seriously injured in Forder Valley crash with Audi

A cyclist from Plymouth has been seriously injured following a crash with a car along Forder Valley. The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was rushed to Derriford Hospital on Saturday, October 19, with life-changing injuries.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 12.45pm after a crash involving a bicycle and a grey Audi A7. Forder Valley was closed for a number of hours while officers investigated the scene.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward. A statement from the force said: "Officers are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision in Plymouth which left a cyclist seriously injured.

"Emergency services were called to Forder Valley Road at 12.45pm on Saturday 19 October after the collision involving a grey Audi A7 and a male cyclist. The cyclist, in his 60s and from Plymouth, sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

"Forder Valley Road was closed for around two hours to allow officers to conduct an investigation and for vehicle recovery. Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and asking for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam capturing the incident to contact them.
